CENOTE

Object

At first sight, Cenote causes an intentional feeling of alienation that aims to parallel the awe experienced by the Spanish explorers when they reached Prehispanic lands. Formally inspired in the Prehispanic ballgame courts, the cenote represents, with its pure materiality, the ancient Mesoamerican glory. An exhaustive work with sand casting and hand patina proves the piece’s singularity.
